Saat ini kebutuhan Alat pelindung diri alias APD yang berbahan jas hujan sangat dibutuhkan oleh kalangan medis,

Toko Santri yang bergerak dibidang Retail kebutuhan rumah tangga ikut memproduksi baju APD tersebut.

Toko Santri berusaha membantu dalam menyediakan perlengkapan tersebut. Bahan yang digunakan adalah bahan jas hujan yaitu Poly Ethilene atau HDPE dan Poly Vinyl Chloride atau PVC.

Toko Santri  menjual dengan harga normal tidak menaikan harga diatas wajar.

Sebuah ikhtiar kecil dimulai.
yaitu usaha menyeimbangkan antara pencarian harta dunia dengan timbangan pahala kebaikan.

usaha seorang purnawirawan ABRI yang hanya berbekal ijasah SMP dimulai dari tahun 1970 an, usaha kongsi dengan 2 orang tionghoa (chinese). diawali dengan membuat gantungan kunci dan stopmap kemudian berkembang ke jas hujan plastik tipis.

tahun 2003 sang ex tentara mulai berusaha sendirian.
saat ini usaha ini dicakup dalam satu group diberi nama SANTRI GROUP.

Terdapat beberapa usaha tercakup didalamnya antara lain : Toko Karpet SANTRI, Pabrik Tikar Plastik, Pabrik Jas Hujan, Pabrik Helm, Sedotan dan tali Rafia.

Seluruh ikhtiyar bisnis ini diberi label syariah, "SANTRI GROUP SYARIAH".

Apa yang membedakan dengan "Non syariah" agak sulit memang menjawabnya.

Tetapi dari penyisihan 1/3 hasil usaha untuk shodaqoh dan 2,5% laba untuk zakat, hasil bunga bank diberikan kepada masyarakat khusus untuk perbaikan WC dan selokan, seluruh karyawan putri wajib berjilbab, yang putra wajib ke masjid sholat dhuhur, ruang kerja pa pi dipisah tembok, waktu sholat toko di tutup sebentar walaupun pembeli sedang antri, barang yang sudah dibeli boleh ditukarkan apabila ada ukuran yang tidak tepat atau ada cacat, ada program buka puasa gratis untuk masyarakat luas hasil dari shodaqoh perusahaan, perputaran uang di bank dan asuransi hanya memilih bank dan asuransi syariah, kalau ada uang mampir di bank "riba" maka hasil bunga nya dibuang untuk perbaikan WC dan selokan. dst. dst.

seluruhnya (mungkin) adalah jawaban apa beda bisnis syariah dengan "non syariah" ?

Sudahkah hidup kita diisi dengan yang syariah ? apakah kita melaksanakan syariah Islam separo dan meninggalkan yang separo lain ? apakah kita siap menghadapi "hizyun fil hayatid dunya ?

Doa kita setiap habis sholat adalah "Berilah kami hasanah di dunia dan hasanah di akherat serta terlepas dari ancaman siksa neraka"
